This is an informational guide for getting to the Seoul Station KTX tracks from the Four Points by Sheraton in Seoul.
A few tips to note
- The blue circles with numbers in them are signs to the subway. You don’t want to take these
- If you reach a location that wants you to scan something to go in, you’ve gone the wrong way. This is the subway. Back up and review the instructions.
- Allow a minimum of 15 minutes to make the journey from the hotel to the Seoul Station.
From the hotel lobby (floor 19) take the elevator down to B2.
You can only go right out of the elevators. When you do, you’ll see a sign for the subway.
Go through the doors. At the T junction, a Dunkin’ Donuts will be on the right. Turn right and walk with the Dunkin on your right side towards the exit doors.
Walk through the exit doors, across the small courtyard and through the doors labeled “Seoul Station” “Airport Railroad.”
Walk down the hall way towards the “B2” sign.
Near the end of the hallway, after the bakery, is a spur to the left. Take it and walk through the doors towards the courtyard.
Walk through the courtyard towards the doors on the opposite end. Go through the doors and down the hallway.
At the end of the hallway is another set of doors to your left. Go through them.
Once you’re through the doors and down a short hallway, there is a hall to the right. Take it.
Continue down the hallway, always following the white KTX logo on the yellow signs.
You’ll walk up two different sets of stairs/ramps with the brick “city wall” to your left before you come to a dead end. Follow the white KTX logo on the yellow sign and turn to the hallway on the right.
Continue following the white KTX logo on the yellow sign as the hall way twists and turns.
When you reach the section of the hallway where the “Store and Delivery” office is on your right, the white KTX logo goes away, but the word KTX is still noted on the yellow sign. Follow the KTX 1 to the right, keeping the Store and Delivery office on your right side.
Look for the StoryWay shop on the right. You’ll turn right and go down the hallway just after this shop.
Down the hallway to the right of the StoryWay, you’ll come to escalators leading to Seoul Station. Go up both sets.
At the top of the second set of escalators, turn left and look for the white KTX logo. Follow the KTX logo arrow to a set of doors.
Continue following the white KTX logo into Seoul Station.
Closer to your departure time, your train number and the platform will display on the large information screen just outside the train platforms.
The information will also be displayed on the smaller display boards inside the platform area of the station.
Find your platform and descend the stairs to board the train.
*** REMEMBER- Some trains have distinctive wagons that will divide off part way through the journey. On these trains the wagons do not connect internally. Please make sure you are on the correct wagon when you board.
